Deliciously Simple, oil free Humus

Being vegetarian for 10 years of my life lead me to find alternatives to pates and meat pastes as a sandwich filler, and I am a self confessed hummus lover! although until recently I have always bought the hummus pre made from a supermarket until I found out how much healthier home made hummus is.

100g of organic hummus from a supermarket contains 375kcal and 33.2g of fat, however my home made recipe contains about 210kcal and only about 6g of fat plus the recipe only take a couple of minutes!

Serves 1
You will need:
100g canned chickpeas
2tsp peanut butter
2stp Greek yoghurt
1/2 clove garlic
paprika (optional)
Veggies/crackers to eat alongside

Step 1:
Chop/mince the garlic and place in a bowl/ a food processor with all the other ingredients

Step 2:
Blend the ingredients together until it forms a thick paste

Step 3:
Place in a bowl to serve and sprinkle on some paprika for a smoky flavour!
