Preface

Hey, hi, hello?

Not entirely sure how to start this so I'll start by introducing myself. My name is Eden Jones and I am currently working as an au pair in the south of France. I have decided to follow the stereotypical cliché of the 'new year new me'by changing my lifestyle for the year of 2015.


There are many reasons deciding to peruse this:

a)  I'm always up for a challenge
b) Being an au pair I have a lot of time on my hand during the time when the kids are at school so I might as well find something that I enjoy rather than spending my entire day eating white bread and watching tv. 
c) well...why not?

First and foremost I would like to post a disclaimer; this blog is NOT about loosing weight. although it will concentrate mostly on recipes, it is instead much more focused on becoming healthier both physically and mentally due to adjusting your diet and routine. 


Secondly I would also like to emphasize the fact that I am NOT a chef, I have never been good at cooking (well I do love to bake, but savoury and me do not mix), up until now I have been an avid sporter of 'as quick and easy as possible' which normally results in eating a ham sandwich then snacking the rest of the day which is quite obviously not ideal. 


I am starting this year at a fairly average height (well slightly shorter than average (5ft2) but hey ho, we cant all have Naomi Campbell legs ;)) and weight with a medium to low fitness level so this is more of an experiment to see just how opting for different habits and behaviours can help you and change the way you feel. 


As you can see I am definitely not a writer of any sorts so expect a lot of rambling, but also hopefully some delicious recipes and possibly the odd helpful tip or two? and if not, then it can just be something for me to look back on and remember what (if anything)  I have achieved over the next  12 months.
